The programme aims to seek initiatives and solutions for the problems of contemporary architecture.
Vietnam is a developing country with a rapid urbanisation and high potential for technological application in economic development and living environment.
However, many challenges have been posed, such as the "thirst" for green space along with overloaded facilities and infrastructure, thus affecting the sustainability of the cities.
ALP is a platform to support the development and connection of the architecture and design community on a national scale.
The ALP 2021-2022 programme requires six criteria towards a better living space, including safe, healthy, convenient, smart, sustainable and sublime living. Accordingly, the programme focuses on seeking the proposals for future living space in Vietnam towards gradually solving the problems in architectural design and construction.
On the occasion, the ALP 2021-2022 programme announced research projects including ‘House in the suburbs’, ‘Zu - Space 0 - Towards restructuring existing urban space’, ‘Solution for public space in high-rise residential area’, ‘Artificial Intelligence: From Architecture to Life’, and ‘Mid-rise housing in Vietnam’.
