The Prime Minister outlined 4 areas that must be well-addressed by the Steering Committee. The first is to make sure that there is necessary growth. Second is to ensure social security, preventing unemployment and protecting people from difficulties during the pandemic.
The third goal is to keep inflation under 4% as set by the National Assembly. The fourth is to ensure the economy's overall balance. In particular, the Prime Minister noted that food securtiy must be ensured, especially in the context of natural disasters and floods.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the average CPI has grudually decreased from 6.54% to 4.19% in the first half of the year, gradually approaching the target of 4% set by the National Assembly.
