According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, African Swine Fever has taken place across 29 provinces and cities, and 1.2 million pigs have been destroyed. Functional agencies identified a high risk of African swine flu spreading to other provinces in the near future. Localities identify the lack of local force and budget behind farmers not following safe procedures for destroying sick pigs. Twelve provinces have experienced African swine fever again after declaring its elimination.
