VTV.vn - On July 20, President Truong Tan Sang received outgoing German Ambassador Jutta Frasch, Belgium Ambassador Bruno Angelet and Finnish Ambassador Kimmo Lahdevirta.

President Sang hailed the diplomats’ contributions to stepping up cooperation between Vietnam and their countries in multiple fronts, including the organisation of visits of senior leaders. He expressed his hope that these countries will pay heed to the Vietnamese market, maintain their provision of official development assistance (ODA) and increase investments in Vietnam.

He told his guest that he hopes Vietnam’s trade ties with Germany, Belgium and Finland would increase after the free trade agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the European Union (EU) is signed. Sang expressed his conviction that Germany will further its investment and trade cooperation with Vietnam. Talking to the Belgian Ambassador, Sang urged Belgium to continue supporting Vietnam at international forums. The President also expressed his wish for Finland’s further cooperation with Vietnam in education and forestry.

German Ambassador Jutta Frasch expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government will facilitate the operation of the Vietnam-Germany University so as to increase closer education cooperation. Belgian Ambassador Bruno Angelet said he hoped that Vietnam would create the best possible conditions for his country’s investment projects. Finnish Ambassador Kimmo Lahdevirta thanked for Vietnamese agencies for their assistance during his tenure in the country, vowing to strengthen the partnership between the two nations.
