As such, agricultural, aquatic, and food products imported from Vietnam have been increasingly welcomed by the Japanese. Last year, Vietnam's export turnover of agricultural and aquatic products to Japan reached 1.8 billion USD.
Among them, the main products were seafood, coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, and vegetables. Some Vietnamese fruit products also have a large market share such as dragon fruit, mango, coconut, and litchi.
So far, a number of Vietnamese products have successfully penetrated Japan's distribution chains, including coconut water and coconut milk products. Vietnamese coffee is also being imported and sold at the OK supermarket chain - a popular supermarket chain in Tokyo.
Vietnamese agricultural, aquatic, and food products have also been seen on the shelves of major supermarket chains in Japan, such as AEON, Donkihote, and Itoyokado.
