Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc praised South Korea's 20 million dollar non-refundable aid to help Vietnam deal with the consequences of post-war bombs and mines. He also requested South Korea to support Vietnam and ASEAN in resolving East Sea disputes through peaceful measures that are in line with international law.
For his part, the South Korean Defence Minister said that South Korea wants to boost defense ties with Vietnam.
The same day, Minister of National Defence General Ngô Xuân Lịch also had talks with his South Korean counterpart.
