On January 1st, Vietnam begins the role of Chair of ASEAN in 2020. On the first morning of the New Year, on behalf of the Government and the people of Vietnam, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent his wishes of a new year full of health, happiness, and success for people of the ASEAN community.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that as this year's chair of ASEAN, Vietnam hopes to work with countries to implement specific activities and initiatives to consolidate and promote solidarity, promoting foreign relations, and improving the efficiency of ASEAN operations.
Therefore, Vietnam wishes to receive the active support and cooperation of other countries in implementing these initiatives.
