Earlier in the morning of May 19, the Defence Ministry quickly established two infectious field hospitals at Base 2 of the Political Military Officer School in Bac Ninh City, in the province of the same name, and at the Regiment 831 under the Military Command of Bac Giang Province in Tan Yen District.
The infectious field hospital no.1 was chaired by the Military Hospital 354 with the participation of forces and equipment from Military Hospitals 354, 105 and 103, the Political Military Officer School as well as the coordination with the testing team from the Military Medical Academy who are working at the Bac Ninh Provincial Military Command.
The infectious field hospital no.2 is hosted by Military Hospital 103 (under the Military Medical Academy) with the participation of forces and equipment from the hospital, the Air Force - Air Defence Medical Hospital, the Military Traditional Medicine Hospital, associated forces of the Army Corps 2, and the testing group from the Military Medical Academy at the Regiment 831 under the Bac Giang Provincial Military Command.
Each field hospital consists of four agencies and ten departments with over 100 staff members and 300 beds. These two hospitals are responsible for receiving and treating COVID-19 patients until they are no longer infectious and have recovered. All patients are collected and handed over to the locality for continuous isolation and monitoring for enough time as prescribed.
* The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a ceremony in Hanoi on May 28 to mobilise the donations to the Fund for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, under the chair of Politburo member and Director of the academy Nguyen Xuan Thang.
The donation was made in response to Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s call for contributions to deal with the latest Covid-19 outbreak in Vietnam.
* Also on the same day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all its staff to give donations to the COVID-19 prevention and control.
At the ceremony, the ministry raised a fund of over VND231.3 million (over US$10,037).
* The Hai Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony yesterday to mobilise all local people to support the fund for COVID-19 vaccine, thus contributing to protecting people’s health and implementing socio-economic development goals.
