Each house that was destroyed by the floods here cost at least 2600 US dollars, not to mention a series of fish and shrimp ponds that have been ruined in An Xuyen 3 Village, My Chanh Commune. Total losses could amount to about 450,000 US dollars. Fortunately there were no human casualties.

One of the hardest hit district of Binh Dinh province, Phu My District, is planning to supply each family whose house was destroyed with 2200 US dollars to rebuild their homes. In the last month, locals in Binh Dinh Province have suffered from 5 big consecutive floods, leaving tens of thousands of residents stranded. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested the mobilisation of all forces to supply fresh water and food for flood-hit locals. He also assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to prepare support for the winter-spring crops. Also on December 21st, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will also work with Binh Dinh authorities to continue to resolve post-flood consequences in the area.
