PM directs flood responses in Northern, North-Central regions

In a dispatch released on Friday night, the government leader extended his condolences to people in northern and north-central provinces for the losses of lives and property.

He asked local People's Committees to proactively mobilise forces and resources to evacuate residents from dangerous areas, resume production, and monitor traffic through flooded areas.

Localities should step up efforts to instruct people on how to prepare for and cope with floods.

Relevant ministries were tasked with monitoring upcoming storms, ensuring the safety of dikes and reservoirs, protecting manufacturing activities, ensuring traffic safety, and conducting search and rescue efforts, among other tasks.
