PM attends 31st Diplomatic Conference

VTV.vn - While attending the 31st Diplomatic Conference in Hanoi on December 15th, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized seven words: affection, sincerity, trust, equality, respect, efficiency, and development.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the outstanding achievements and efforts of the diplomatic sector over the years, despite facing many difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He emphasized three diplomatic pillars to focus on. Firstly, in terms of political diplomacy, Vietnam will steadfastly implement a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam chooses not to take a side and use righteousness as the country’s navigation tool.

Regarding economic diplomacy, the Prime Minister proposed improving institutions, cooperating in human resource training, applying green technology, improving the domestic investment environment, and further promoting existing FTAs.

Regarding cultural diplomacy, the Prime Minister suggested the industry continue to effectively implement the Party's resolutions on cultural development, especially solutions and important goals identified at the recent National Cultural Conference, affirming to the international community that Vietnam considers culture on par with the economy, politics, and society.
