Phủ Dày festival is an annual ancient festival in the third lunar month, which reminds people of Liễu Hạnh Mother Goddess - a leading figure in the mother goddess worship cult. In 2012 and 2013, the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism recognised Chầu Văn (worship singing rituals) and Phủ Dày Festival as national intangible cultural heritages.
Meanwhile, Vụ Bản District is finalising application procedures for the UNESCO recognition of Vietnamese worship of mother goddesses as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This year, Phủ Dày Festival will run till April 14th.
