VTV.vn - Over 300 scientists and experts from 20 countries all over the world gathered at the 7th International Workshop on Nanotechnology and Application (IWNA), which opened in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province on November 7.

The two-day event is hosted by the Vietnam National University (VNU) - Ho Chi Minh City branch and the France-based MINATEC Micro and Nanotechnology Innovation Campus.

At the 2019 IWNA, more than 160 scientific papers will be presented, covering all the key issues in the field of nanotechnology, such as the basic principles of nanotechnology, the synthesis of nanomaterials, nanotechnology fabrication, processing to make nanofiber, and applications of nanotechnology in science and life.

Participants will join a forum on business opportunities for the micro-nano industry in Vietnam and enjoy an exhibition showcasing products of nanotechnology with booths of both domestic and foreign companies.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Thanh Cong, Deputy Head of Science and Technology Department under the VNU - HCM City, the 2019 IWNA would open an opportunity for scientists from many countries to exchange knowledge and experience on different aspects of nanotechnology, while expanding the network of international cooperation in research and education on nanotechnology.

Activities within the framework of the conference helped scientists, researchers and business community to explore more opportunities for micro-nanotechnology in Vietnam, he added.
