Following the accident, the Ministry assigned the Vietnam Maritime Administration to set up an investigation team and collect evidence. Currently, vessel Petrolimex 14 is anchored in Bai Truoc, Vung Tau City and is awaiting further investigation.
Earlier yesterday, on behalf of the government, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of National Committee for Search and Rescue Trinh Dinh Dung sent letters praising the search and rescue forces while sending condolences to the families of the affected crewmen.
