The event was attended by Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai; along with Secretary of the HCYU and Chairman of the Central Council of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation Nguyen Ngoc Luong.
At the programme, the organising committee presented 60 gift packages, each worth VND1 million, and school supplies to children of workers in Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Phu Nghia Commune, Chuong My District, Hanoi. The children have overcome difficulties to achieve many good academic achievements.
On the occasion, the Central Council of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation offered two sets of drums, 1,000 red pioneer scarves and many other valuable gifts to students of Phu Nghia Primary School. Meanwhile, in Hanoi, the HCYU also presented 11 bicycles to children who are living in difficult circumstances in Phu Nghia Commune. The practical activities aim to encourage children to make great efforts in their studies as the new school year has just commenced.
* In the morning of the same day, the National Assembly delegation, the Sponsoring Association for Disabled People and Orphans in Quang Binh Province visited four disabled children education centres in Quang Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy districts and Dong Hoi City. They offered 322 gifts packages, worth VND300,000 each, and many kinds of children's toys to students with disabilities at the centres. On the occasion, many agencies, units and volunteer groups in Quang Binh Province also organised Mid-Autumn Festival programmes for ethnic minority children in border areas and remote areas.
* On the evening of September 30, in Da Nang City, the Labour Confederation of Da Nang City organised a programme Full-Moon Night 2020 for children of trade union members, officers, and workers in difficult circumstances. At the ceremony, the organising committee awarded nearly 500 gifts, each worth VND300,000, to the children participating in the programme. In the spirit of "No one let behind", the programme Full-Moon Night 2020 was deployed simultaneously at trade unions at all levels of Da Nang City, and are estimated to have given about 2,000 Mid-Autumn gifts to children of trade union members, officers, and workers, in difficult circumstances in Da Nang City.
