VTV.vn - The Vietnam Airlines Group has advised its passengers to arrive at the airports early and conduct online check-in during the Lunar New Year (Tet) high season.

The company said passengers should be present at the airport 2 hours before departure for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights.

The rise in demand for air travel is expected to be even stronger than in the same period before the pandemic, as people will not only travel to visit their relatives but also for leisure purposes.

The occupancy rate of many flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and other destinations throughout the country has reached 80-90%.

Passengers are also advised to check their travel documents carefully to avoid being refused boarding, due to expired documents.

In addition, the airline also recommends passengers use public transport for travel to the airports to reduce pressures on airport parking.
