According to the leaders of Duy Vinh Commune, the commune was recognised as a new rural area in 2019 and still maintains 19/19 criteria for the 2021-2025 period.
In 2023, Duy Vinh’s income per capita reached 62.5 million VND, up 34.1 million VND from that of 2015, while its poverty rate also dropped from 13.59% to 0.14% during the period.
Recognising the achievements recorded by Duy Vinh in building a new rural model, Head of the Central Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac expressed his delight in the local infrastructure development.
Speaking with local officials and residents, Trac said the building of new rural areas is a task with a beginning but without an ending, and that its core is to enhance people’s incomes.
He asked Duy Vinh Commune to promote the people’s central role in building new rural areas effectively to continue improving their standards of living.
