This is the first visit of the party leader to a Western European country since the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party. The visit aims to promote bilateral relations between the two countries in terms of politics, foreign affairs, economics, and national security.
The two countries hold strategic dialogues twice a year as well as an annual high-level dialogue on the economy. The party leader's visit to France is expected to add momentum to the strategic partnership.
