Party Central Committee convenes fourth plenum

Under the chairmanship of the Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong, the committee gave opinions on several major policies to renew the national growth model and increase the quality, productivity, and the competitiveness of the economy. In light of Vietnam's new free trade agreements, how to effectively integrate the country onto the global stage while maintaining political stability is also high on the meeting’s agenda.

Besides debating national issues, other party’s matters will also be discussed in the week-long conference including the Party’s construction and rectification, the fight against the degradation of political ideology, morality and lifestyle; as well as some evidence of “self-evolution” within the party.
