VTV.vn - Lacquer and oil paintings featuring beautiful Vietnamese and Moroccan scenery, and portraits of people are on display at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi from January 8.

These works were drawn by artist Deniale – the wife of the Moroccan Ambassador in Vietnam. Entitled "from Heart to Soul", the exhibition portrays the culture, love, and daily life of Vietnamese people and shows the differences between the two countries through the eyes of Deniale. These 28 lacquer and oil paintings represent her love for Vietnam.

The past 10 years living in Vietnam and five years creating lacquer paintings has been critical to Deniale's artistry. Visitors can find distinctly Vietnamese elements in her paintings, such as peach blossoms, lotuses, and Hanoi's Old Quarter. They also feature aspects of Moroccan cities.

"The artist lives in Vietnam and can feel the spirit of Vietnam's mountainous areas. She has brought Vietnam's unique features, such as the landscape, Tet holiday's peach blossoms, and The Huc bridge into her art. I also liked to see paintings of olive trees and Morroco's scenery. I'm impressed by how the paintings portray the two cultures and countries", said Bui Mai Hien, visitor.

"This is the first time we have worked with the Embassy of the kingdom of Morocco. And it's definitely not the last. We hope more activities of this kind will be held to foster Vietnam-Morocco ties", Vo Quang Trong, Director, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology

The exhibition has expanded cooperation opportunities between the museum and foreign embassies in Vietnam, further introducing visitors to both international and domestic culture. It will be open to the public until April.
