Over 20,000 registered organ donors recorded in Vietnam

Most of the organ transplant operations are kidney transplant, while other cases are liver and heart cases, with 150 and 28 cases repectively. Over the years, organ transplant has been promoted, resulting in an increasing number of organ donors. In 2014, 265 people volunteered to donate their organs after their death or during their brain dead condition. The number for 2015 rose to 2,000, and now it reached over 20,000.
