This is a good opportunity for Vietnam to increase its exports, especially of agricultural, forestry and fishery products. In the first month of 2018, exports of these products were worth over 3 billion US dollars. The target for the year is 40 billion US dollars.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has decided to put livestock in its export priority list this year. Other staples like seafood, processed vegetables, coffee, and cashew nuts are expected to witness strong export growth to the US, Japan, South Korea, and the EU.
