Opportunities for Vietnamese wood industry

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the export value of agro-forestry-fishery products in the first five months is estimated at $ 15.6 billion USD, up nearly 10% over the same period last year. Forestry products continued to rise to the top of agricultural exports with the turnover of 3.4 billion USD. The target set at the beginning of the year was for forestry exports to reach $ 9 billion this year. This has shown the many opportunities domestic wood processors and exporters have encountered. 

Vietnam ranks fifth globally in terms of wood exports. Meanwhile, China and Italy, the top two wood exporters in the world, face increasing labor wages. As a result, 4,500 Vietnamese wood export enterprises have more opportunities to grow.
