Opening Ceremony of the Sen Village Festival 2025 will be broadcast live on VTV1 on May 15

Taking place from May 10 to 19 in Vinh City and Nam Dan District (Nghe An Province), the Sen Village Festival 2025,  This national scale festival   commemorates the 135th   anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025).

This   major political and cultural event reflects   the Vietnamese people's deep gratitude and respect toward their beloved leader. During the festival, numerous cultural and sporting activities will be held, such as the inauguration of the Nine-Tier Waterfall at the grave of Madame Hoang Thi Loan, the “Following Uncle Ho’s Footsteps – For National Security” run, a film week about President Ho Chi Minh with interactive sessions with filmmakers and artists in Nghe An, and the 2025 National Traditional Wrestling Championship.

The  opening night will feature a grand artistic program themed “A Monument in Millions of Hearts”, meticulously directed by prominent artists, including People’s Artist Cong Bay, People’s Artist Huu Tu, and People’s Artist An Ninh. The performers include well-known artists such as Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Tan Nhan, People’s Artist Hong Luu, Meritorious Artists Que Thuong, Minh Thong, Minh Thanh, Ha Quynh Nhu, among others. The performances will incorporate various forms such as singing, traditional folk opera, and modern stage dramatization.

In addition to professional performers, the program will also feature the Festival Drum Art Troupe of the People’s Police Academy, the Public Security Ceremonial Troupe, local folk artists, and hundreds of students from Nam Dan districtt. Together, they will present a vibrant cultural picture rich in national identity. With well-planned production, a gathering of talented artists, and heartfelt dedication to President Ho Chi Minh, the opening night promises to be an unforgettable artistic event.

In the lead-up to the opening, all rehearsal and coordination efforts were carried out with precision. A notable performance of a 600-member drum and flag dance by students of the People’s Police Academy has been prepared. This impressive act requires artistic precision, coordination, and discipline, combining flag dancing, drum performances, and lion dances.

With its profound message and meticulous preparation, the Sen Village Festival 2025 is not only a grand celebration for the people of Nghe An but also a moment for all Vietnamese to reflect on their roots, strengthen their national pride, and draw inspiration from the moral and ideological legacy of President Ho Chi Minh.

The Sen Village Festival will be broadcast live at 8:00 PM on May 15 on VTV1.
