Opening Ceremony of the Sen Village Festival 2025: “A Monument in Millions of Hearts”

In celebration of the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), the People's Committee of Nghe An Province, in collaboration with the Ministries of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and   Public Security, solemnly organized the opening of the 2025 National Sen Village Festival and the inauguration of the monument “Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown” on the evening of May 15 in Nghe An.

The highlight of the event is a grand-scale art program titled “A Monument in Millions of Hearts”, meticulously directed by veteran artists such as People's Artist Cong Bay (Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Work – Ministry of Public Security), People's Artists Huu Tu and An Ninh. Renowned artists participating in the program include  Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Tan Nhan, People's Artist Hong Luu, Meritorious Artists Que Thuong, Minh Thong, Minh Thanh, Ha Quynh Nhu. The performances span a wide range of styles, from singing and dancing to folk opera to modern stage dramatization.

Not only does the program feature professional artists, it also gathers the Drum Art Troupe of the People's Police Academy, the Honor Guard Troupe of the People's Public Security, local amateur art groups, folk artisans from Nghe An Province. It also includes hundreds of students from Nam Dan District,creating a vivid cultural panorama rich in national identity. With thoughtful investment, the presence of talented artists, and profound reverence for President Ho Chi Minh, the opening night promises to leave a deep artistic impression on the audience.

The 2025 Sen Village Festival takes place from May 10–19 in Vinh City and Nam Dan District (Nghe An Province). It is organized on a national scale with diverse and vibrant cultural activities to commemorate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh. This is a significant political and cultural event that expresses the people's gratitude and deep respect for the beloved President. Throughout the festival, there will be various cultural and sports events   including the inauguration of a 9-tier waterfall at the grave site of Madam Hoang Thi Loan (Ho Chi Minh's mother); the "Following in Uncle Ho’s Footsteps – For National Security" marathon; a film week about President Ho Chi Minh  where there will be exchanges with film artists and crews; and the 2025 National Traditional Wrestling Championship.
