The system links directly to the company's automated monitoring station to get figures of waste discharge, according to the requirements of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Every hour, 12 indicators of the amount and quality of sewage from Formosa are updated on the automated monitoring system run by Ha Tinh Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Since the online system was launched, indicators have remained under the limit.
Phan Lam Son - Vice Director of Department of Natural Resources & Environment, Ha Tinh Province – said: “According to the latest results from the system, the waste treatment of Formosa is under control. And there are no problems at the moment”.
In addition to this online system, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has also launched 2 mobile monitoring stations in the waste treatment area of Formosa since July.
Those stations examine waste before and after treatment 3 times per day. The results are then submitted to the ministry every day.
