After a long time negotiating with providing partners and with the commitment to meet the football – monitoring needs of nationwide audiences, Vietnam Television (VTV) has announced the successful media copyright ownership on April 14th, becoming the official broadcast unit of UEFA 2016 (EURO 2016) in Vietnam.
Specifically, VTV received full licensed of production, exploitation rights using on free platforms or paying for all programs relating to EURO 2016 on television, on www.vtvgo.vn and mobile application system VTV Go. Also, VTV is allowed to broadcast all matches and integrated programs; comment, support news relating to EURO 2016; using pictures, documents of EURO 2016 in other programs, etc.

VTV will exclusively live broadcast 51 matches in total during the EURO season. Also, live commentary will be shown before, during and after the match on VTV3, VTV3 HD, VTV6 and VTV6 HD. The commentary show comes up with innovative format, promising to bring the audience remarkable moments of EURO 2016. With the aim of having an exciting summer with EURO atmosphere, VTV plans to produce newsletter and journal programs.
In addition, VTV initiates a new feature in the communication plan for EURO 2016. Apart from broadcasting on traditional channels, this will be the first time that VTV provides UEFA EURO on the Internet, mobile applications via VTVGo EURO 2016 and website www.vtvgo.vn . In particular, besides the content shown on TV, VTV expects to provide the users with memorable moments videos, behind the scene footages directly recorded and transferred from the stadium by VTV reporters.
