Northern provinces attract foreign direct investment

As of the end of August, new FDI pledges, additional funds for existing projects, and stake acquisitions totalled nearly 16.8 billion USD, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Hải Phòng, Bắc Ninh, Bắc Giang, Vĩnh Phúc, and Thái Nguyên are major FDI destinations thanks to their favourable transport infrastructure and expressway connection to Hanoi, other localities, airports, and seaports.

In addition, these provinces have invested in industrial zone infrastructure and facilitated the land clearance of factory projects.
