No battery-powered devices allowed in Phong Nha - Ke Bang

Starting May 10th, tourists to Phong Nha - Ke Bang in the central province of Quang Binh, will not be allowed to use their cell phones, cameras, or video recorders  when using zipline services in the Chay River  or joining adventurous activities in the Dark Cave and Moọc Stream if they don't have anti-sinking and anti-slipping equipment.

Tourists can only use their devices in areas  where there's no risk of falling into the water. According to Phong Nha - Ke Bang tourism center, 5 to 10 battery-powered devices fall into rivers every day, increasing the risk of pollution to the environment.
