The final round of the Road to Mount Olympus in its 20th year with the participation of 4 outstanding climbers: Luu Dao Dung Tri (High School specializing in Pedagogical University, Hanoi), Nguyen Thi Thu Hang (Kim Son A High School, Ninh Binh), Van Ngoc Tuan Kiet (Quang Tri town high school, Quang Tri) and Vu Quoc Anh (Ngo Gia Tu High School, Dak Lak) took place on September 20, 2020 at S14 Studio of Vietnam Television.
In the warm-up contest, Thu Hang earned 60 points while Quoc Anh led with 90 points, Tuan Kiet won 30 points and Dung Tri, 50 points.
In the Obstacle Overcoming test that consists of decrypting the 3-letter keyword, the response from the first horizontal row was "Mask", which only Quoc Anh and Thu Hang responded correctly. Thu Hang also got the right answer with the word "Health" and won 80 points, climbing to the top with 150 points, creating a solid boost for the following rounds.
In the Acceleration test, Thu Hang got 3 out of 4 questions correct and continued to lead with 240 points, followed by Quoc Anh with 190 points, Tuan Kiet, 130 points and Dung Tri, 100 points.
As the final competition of the year, the questions are not easy. In the finish line, not many correct answers were given. In the end, Thu Hang won 235 points, Quoc Anh scored 165 points, Dung Tri 130 points and Tuan Kiet 85 points. With this result, the Ninh Binh schoolgirl won the laurels of the Road to Mount Olympus competition in its 20th year. Quoc Anh won the second prize while Tuan Kiet and Dung Tri shared the third prize.
Thu Hang's gold-plated laurel wreath was hand-crafted by a family of artisans who are fond of the program. Thu Hang is the first female champion after 9 years, and is also the first contestant to bring the laurels to Ninh Binh province. In addition, she was the first winner to be awarded with a scholarship of $40,000, a significant rise in cash prize compared to previous years.
