The Vietnam Robocon 2025 competition will take place from June 5 to June 13 at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Arena. The event will bring together top engineering student teams from across the country. To ensure everything is ready, on the afternoon of May 26, Vietnam Television held a working session with the leaders of Ninh Binh Province.
Those in attendance included Mr. Tong Quang Thin – Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the local organizing committee; Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh – Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, Head of the Robocon Vietnam 2025 Organizing Committee; along with representatives from VTV’s technical departments and members of the local organizing committee.

At the meeting, representatives from the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh, the lead agency for organizing the event , confirmed that preparations are on schedule. The facilities at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Arena are complete and meet all technical requirements for the Robocon Vietnam 2025 competition. Power supply, Internet, and Wi-Fi systems are being maintained and supported by Ninh Binh Power Company and the Department of Science and Technology.
In addition, arrangements have been made for healthcare, sanitation, public security, and event protocol. The Ninh Binh Department of Health has mobilized staff, equipment, and medical supplies to ensure emergency support and food safety. The Ninh Binh Police Department has developed comprehensive security plans for before and during the event.
Meanwhile, media promotion has been bolstered on various platforms, including public media, electronic welcome gates, and LED displays throughout the cities of Ninh Binh, Hoa Lu, and Tam Diep. The province is also working with VTV to film famous local landmarks for feature reports aired on VTV2 during the competition.
The meeting also covered other key tasks such as stage setup, guest reception, live broadcast support, organizing local science and technology product showcases, and the “Robotics Connect” seminar. All plans were reviewed and finalized.
Hosting the event not only helps promote Ninh Binh’s image to national and international audiences but also provides young people with a valuable learning and networking environment, spreading a spirit of creativity and innovation within the community.
Immediately after the meeting, representatives from Vietnam Television and related units conducted a site inspection to confirm that all technical and organizational requirements had been met.
Robocon Vietnam is an annual technology and innovation competition organized by Vietnam Television, attracting students from technical universities and colleges across the nation. The contest offers young people the opportunity to showcase their creativity, technical thinking, and robotics design skills. It is also a valuable platform for learning, knowledge exchange, and career development, serving as a launching pad for students to prove their capabilities in the era of digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
This year, Mongolia is the host country for ABU Robocon with the theme “Basketball Warrior”, which requires flexible strategies, strong coordination, and the ability to handle complex situations on the court.
This year's competition will feature more than 60 teams representing universities, colleges, and vocational schools nationwide. Notably, Robocon Vietnam 2025 teams will not compete in traditional qualifying rounds. Instead, the Organizing Committee will evaluate their performance based on results from the pre-selection round. Each team will perform three demonstrations to complete the challenge on a standard competition field. There will be no direct elimination matches in this round.
In the final round, teams will compete in group stages, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the championship match to determine the winner of Robocon Vietnam 2025. The final round will feature direct head-to-head matches on the main competition field.
The Robocon Vietnam 2025 Final Round will take place from June 8 to June 13, 2025, at the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Arena, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Dong Thanh Ward, Ninh Binh City, Ninh Binh Province. All matches will be broadcast live on VTV2.
