The Homeland - Reunion Season is a culmination of art show, gathering the famous Vietnamese celebrities at home and abroad, showing the greatest significance of the traditional New Year celebration - reuniting with the family, coming back to homeland and awakening the roots of communion.
On New Year's Eve 2020, the quintescence of different Vietnamese generations will shine on the big stage of the megashow, a new and vibrant art performance space combining 360-degree circular stage. Spectacular visual effects and a large cozy studio offer an ideal place for the exchange between the distinguished guests of VTV and the audience. Among them, many famous world-class artists will return to Vietnam with their families for the first time to participate in the New Year's Eve program.
In part 1, entitled "Vietnamese Tales", the show tells stories of proud Vietnamese characters and stories. It was Professor Nguyen Van Huyen, the first Vietnamese to defend a PhD thesis at the Sorbornne-Paris University, France in 1934; the story of the first Vietnamese woman to have a bachelor's degree at the prestigious Prague Conservatory of Music, Czechoslovakia - Mrs. Thai Thi Lien, the first Head of the Piano Faculty of Vietnam Music School; the story of 100 years of painter Bui Xuan Phai and his famous paintings about Hanoi.
Part 2 of the program called "Vietnamese Outreach Dreams" brings meaningful meetings with Major Gen. Pham Tuan, the first Vietnamese who flew to the outer space; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of Vietnam Space Center and artists contributing to bringing Vietnamese culture to the world such as Artist of Merit Tran Ly Ly, director Tuan Le ... the story of designer Công Trí with a two-decade immersing in the fashion world and placing Vietnam on the international fashion map.
The highlight of the Homeland - Reunion Season is the warm and unexpected reunion of the special guests. Accompanying the meaningful stories in the program are a series of elaborate art repertoires from stage staging, music, 3D LED screen technology and the appearance of leading artists in Vietnam with colorful music and many unique art forms.
