New year flag salute at Vietnam’s easternmost mainland point

Despite unfavorable weather conditions, heavy rain and wind, a number of officers and soldiers, residents and tourists participated in the New Year event. The national flag saluting ceremony is an annual event held by the Provincial People’s Committee as part of their patriotic education activities.

Also during the occasion, the province also held a ceremony to welcome the first 100 tourists to Bãi Môn - Mũi Điện national tourist site.
