New wage policies to take effect in 2016
VTV.vn - Vietnam’s worst paid workers, pensioners and poor are set to benefit from the implementation of new minimum wage levels and policies.

As of January 1st, minimum wage levels have increased to 2.4 million VND by 250,000 VND to 400,000VND respectively. From today onwards, pensions for disadvantaged people and pre-1995 kindergarten will also increase to the basic salary formula. Taking into the rise the basic salary formula used for the calculation of wages will also rise from 1,150,000 VND to 1,210,000, representing a 5% raise. This policy will be applied to public workers and defence force personnel.
