Vietnam's labor exports set a new record in 2017 with over 134 thousand workers going overseas. This is the latest statistics from the Department of Overseas Labor Management under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.
The number of Vietnamese people working overseas has surpassed the sector's target of 28.3%. This is also the fourth consecutive year that the number exceeds the 100 thousand threshold.
Taiwan (China) continues to be the largest recipient of Vietnamese labor and the trend is expected to continue in the years to come.
Japan has gradually been a prominent market for Vietnamese laborers. In turns, Vietnam became the largest provider of working interns to the countriy among its 15 providers.
