Implementing a cooperative plan to complete the task of supporting and improving the efficiency of Vietnamese language teaching and learning for Vietnamese people in Vietnam is in response to the project of honoring Vietnamese language in the overseas Vietnamese community in the period 2023-2030.
Vietnam Education Publishing House, State Committee of Vietnamese Abroad, International Program Department of Vietnam Television jointly organized the launch ceremony of the TV program "Hello Vietnamese Language" and the launch of the contest to search for overseas Vietnamese language ambassadors in 2023 in order to preserve and promote Vietnam's cultural identity.
The program is broadcast online with connection to more than 90 overseas Vietnamese representative agencies and the participation of leaders and representatives of overseas Vietnamese embassies and consulates, community representatives, overseas Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese schools and institutions. Delegates and leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Industry and Trade, other departments and agencies, Education Publishing House and language experts attended the event.
Hello Vietnamese Language is a program co-produced by the International Program Department of Vietnam Television and Vietnam Education Publishing House for audiences of various primary school ages who were born and educated abroad. The program is based on the textbook Hello Vietnamese. The program encourages children to learn Vietnamese through activities, songs, stories, poems and dances. Nguyen Thuy Anh, a teacher with a doctorate in education, is in charge of the curriculum.
In addition to the launch of the Hello Vietnamese program, the State Committee of Overseas Vietnamese also launched the "Search for Overseas Vietnamese Language Ambassadors in 2023" contest. The contest is aimed at Vietnamese living, working and studying abroad and foreigners living abroad who love Vietnamese culture and language and are fluent in Vietnamese.
