According to experts, it used to take 5 to 7 years to assess cattle and poultry exports to the US. Therefore, 6 months is too short for evaluating the quality of catfish production. Also, Vietnam needs time to adjust its legal system and production facilities. All of these barriers may prevent the US from being the largest importer of Vietnamese catfish in 2017./.
