During the two days of the event, many team building activities were held such as Team Power, a football match between VTV and Viettel teams, an exchange program and a Gala night.
The highlight of the Innovation Day was the presentation of ideas on May 19. Forty ideas and show formats were submitted and 24 were qualified to be presented at the event.
“This is an opportunity for reporters and editors to put forth their ideas, laying the bases for highly rated programs. Talking to creative people, we become better creative”, said Ta Bich Loan, the chairwoman of VTV’s Journalists Union.
Each VTV’s department has three minutes to present their ideas which must respond to the criteria of the jury board, including theme, objective, meaning, content, form, budget, location and profitability.
Watching the presentation, VTV president Tran Binh Minh said the efforts differed from department to department. While the head of the International Program Department did pay attention and encouraged the staff to find the good way of presenting, other heads of department did not care enough for it, which discouraged their staff to be creative.
