Nearly 94% of students attend in-person classes

VTV.vn - An average of 93.7% of students across the country, have resumed in-person learning as of February 14, after a week of reopening schools, said the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), on February 15.

The whole country saw 85.7% of preschool children, 93.6% of primary school students, 94.4% of junior high school students and 99% of senior high school students, return to school directly, over the past week.

According to the MoET, localities nationwide should continue to closely monitor the pandemic situation, to allow students to attend in-person classes.

As many as 54 out of 63 provinces and cities, have resumed in-person classes for preschool children, while 59 out of 63 provinces and cities, have allowed primary students to come back to school.

In addition, all 63 provinces and cities have organised in-person classes, for junior and senior high school students. 100% of higher education institutions have also allowed students to return to school.

More provinces and cities are planning to welcome students back to school from February 21, including Hanoi.

According to Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, the MoET organised delegations to inspect direct learning, in several localities and schools, over the past week and saw that the pandemic preventative measures were implemented carefully, to ensure safety against the pandemic, during in-person learning.
