Participants eligible for the awards include professional or amateur journalists, collaborators, and information workers from press agencies. Entries submitted for consideration must have been published or broadcasted on public media platforms licensed by competent state agencies from September 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024.
There is no limit to the number of entries, which can belong to various categories, such as news reports, interviews, specialised articles on Youth Union activities and youth movements, as well as profiles of exemplary youth role models.
The content of submitted entries should reflect the achievements of youths nationwide in implementing the resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress, resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, third-year results of Youth Union branches in implementing the resolutions of the 12th National Youth Union Congress, resolutions of Youth Union congresses at all levels, and Student Union congresses moving towards the 11th National Congress of the Vietnamese Student Union, term 2023-2028; the atmosphere and results of organising Youth Union congresses moving towards the 9th National Congress of the Vietnamese Youth Union, term 2024-2029.
Furthermore, entries may also reflect the results of implementing the Youth Union and youth movement work program in 2023 with the theme "Year of digital transformation of Youth Union activities" and in 2024 with the theme "Year of youth volunteering"; activities of Youth Union branches commemorating significant events in youth movements and volunteering, focusing on major holidays.
Alongside this, the renewal of content, methods of operation, and the strengthening of digital transformation in implementing Youth Union and youth movement work and the role of Youth Union organisations in guiding and leading young people against new trends and tendencies.
In each competition category (including printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio and television), the Organizing Committee will award 2 A prizes (30 million VND), 2 B prizes (20 million VND), 3 C prizes (10 million VND), and ten consolation prizes (5 million VND). Additionally, there will be two collective prizes awarded to the units submitting the highest number of entries (5 million VND). All prizes will be accompanied by certificates of commendation from the Central Committee of the Youth Union.
The organising committee will receive entries from May 1 to May 31 at the website address giaibaochi.doanthanhnien.vn. The National Journalism Awards ceremony for Youth Union activities and youth movements in 2024 is scheduled for June 2024 in the capital city of Hanoi.
