National Election Council holds unexpected session
VTV.vn - The National Election Council (NEC) convened an unusual eighth session in Hanoi on July 17, under National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, to vote on the eligibility of deputies.
All council members voted to verify the eligibility of 494 deputies of the 14th National Assembly, and rejected elected deputy Nguyen Thi Nguyet Huong of the 13th National Assembly, as she failed to qualify for the post, and personally submitted a request to leave.
