National Council for Education and Human Resources convene for first session

The issues that were raised at the meeting included the implementation of education program and textbook reform, draft standards for appointment and dismissal of professors and associate professors, and the draft decree on the autonomy mechanism of public tertiary education.

Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and the participants affirmed that recent educational achievements are necessary to provide soft skills in addition to knowledge. In addition, the Prime Minister agreed to apply the autonomy mechanism of some schools and said that he would review the results in order to replicate the model at universities nationwide.
