This morning at Cam Ranh international airport, in Khanh Hoa province, a national aviation emergency training drill was held by the National Civil Aviation Security Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Transport and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province.
Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended and supervised the drill. The drill simulates a hostage taking situation by 8 armed attackers. After negotiations failed, special forces attacked and neutralised the attackers and rescued the hostages. Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh praised the success of the drill and stressed its importance in ensuring aviation safety in the current global context.
