The World Bank has been urged to continuously support Vietnam in completing its policies and legal framework in order to ensure the stability of the macro-economy, enhance national growth, develop human resources, and to harmonize social benefits with environmental affection.
This recommendation was made by National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân on Monday at her meeting with World Bank Vice President for East Asia and the Pacific Victoria Kwakwa. The National Assembly hopes to receive more support regarding policy consultants, experts, research, and conferences and talks about laws.
Victoria Kwakwa highly appreciated Vietnam's efforts to secure the public debt ceiling and the steps that had been taken to decrease the public debt. She also expressed her hopes for Vietnam's National Assembly to continuously supervise the implementation of ODA projects.
