National Assembly discuss election report

The report stressed that the election was a success in terms of transparency, democracy and fairness. However, the report also stated that the election failed to elect the 500 anticipated people’s deputies, while some elected delegates were not actually qualified.

On the same day, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented the number of deputies and members of NA Standing Committee. The committee will consist of 18 members, including NA chairWOMAN, 4 NA deputy chairs and 13 members. The 4 NA deputy chair will assist the Chairwoman on ethnic issues, foreign policy, social affairs, economics, finance, science and the environment, legal issues and defence.
