National Assembly committee opens 4th session

NA deputies discussed the draft law on the amendments and supplements to some articles of the Criminal Code.

At the meeting, Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long said that article 292 on the draft law of Criminal Code which regulates violations on the provision of illegal services via the internet and intranet has been deleted. The government should develop proper policies to create favourable conditions and transparent competitive environment to develop e-commerce. Some delegates agreed to this proposal. However, some suggested banning the gold trade and multi-level marketing as these businesses have negative effects on people's lives.
