VTV.vn - His successful run at Wimbledon has pushed Ly Hoang Nam 34 places up in the world rankings, according to a statement from the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) yesterday.

The Vietnamese is now ranked 1,242nd – the best ranking in his career as well as a new high for tennis in the country.

Nam and his Indian partner Sumit Nagal won the boys' doubles trophy on Sunday. They have been given a wild card to compete in the men's doubles event in London next year.

The International Tennis Federation has not announced its latest ranking for juniors, but it is expected that Nam, currently at No 12, will be among the top 10.
