NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said the 9th session helps reinforce national unity, democracy, and renovation in the legislative body. He asked members of the NA Standing Committee to discuss in detail the contents to be submitted to the year-end National Assembly session.
High on the agenda will be the Supreme People’s Procuracy’s report on allowances for leadership and managerial positions as well as salaries and uniforms for officials, adding staff to the sector, and setting up new People’s Procuracy agencies at the district level.
The committee will also give opinions on the government’s report on negotiations and signing of an agreement between Vietnam and Russia on travel conditions for their citizens.
The upcoming NA session is set to adopt 16 draft laws and a draft resolution as well as discuss 10 draft laws and reports on socio-economic development in 2015 and the period from 2011 to 2015, tasks for next year, the state budget in 2015 and budget estimates and allocations for next year, and an investment plan utilizing state capital in 2016.
Deputies will also discuss the implementation of outcomes from Q&A activities at the NA.
