National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue chaired the meeting.
The five topics selected for the consultation with the National Assembly Standing Committee are monitoring the mobilization, management, and use of resources for COVID-19 prevention and control; monitoring the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions in the national target programs on building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction in the 2021-2025 period, and socio-economic development in ethnic groups' areas for the period of 2021-2030; monitoring the reform of the curriculum and general textbooks; monitoring the implementation of policies and laws on the development of renewable energy sources, and monitoring the implementation of policies and laws on public investment during the period of 2015-2020.
After listening to the analysis and discussion, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided not to include in the 2023 monitoring program the implementation of policies and laws on public investment in the 2015-2020 period.
Speaking at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the monitoring projects selected by the National Assembly are considered programs of great economic, political, and social significance. He also noted that supervision cannot be based solely on documents, as this would lead to the inefficacy of supervision.
