In a speech to conclude the Q&A sessions on June 15, she said the ministers of agriculture and rural development; culture, sports and tourism; health; and planning and investment fielded questions raised by NA deputies
Deputy Prime Ministers Trinh Dinh Dung, Vu Duc Dam and Vuong Dinh Hue, along with the Minister of Industry and Trade, the Transport Minister, the Chairman of the Government’s Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs, and the Director General of the Vietnam Social Security also gave further explanations, reported on relevant issues and answered deputies’ questions.
Chairwoman Ngan said the Q&A sessions took place in a democratic, straightforward and constructive atmosphere. NA deputies showed their seriousness and sense of responsibility in putting questions to and arguing with the officials.
Meanwhile, the Government members replied to all queries, clarified many issues, straightforwardly accepted responsibility, suggested solutions, and vowed their determination to make improvements, she added.
She also pointed out shortcomings in the sessions and called for stronger efforts to address the mentioned problems and realise the socio-economic development targets for 2017 and the following years.
The top legislator said the NA Standing Committee will prepare a draft resolution on Q&A activities to submit to the NA for approval at the end of the third sitting. The resolution will serve as a basis for the parliament to supervise the officials’ realisation of their promises.
She also asked the Government, ministries and sectors to seriously take in deputies’ opinions and carry out solutions effectively so as to remove shortcomings pointed out in each sphere.
